Neck attached

Although every step takes about the same amount of time as before, my
experience allows me to cut down the idle time in between. So I
hesitate a lot less.

thank skunk stripe nexk looks beautiful... is that black walnut? if so I'm excited, cos that what I'm going to attack next when I've got the zebrawood box built...

Yup I think it is black walnut, easy to carve and easy to bend. Skunk stripe is maple, for strength and width. My walnut was a bit thin so I couldn't get a one piece neck.

Just started with the oil, but have to decide whether or not a faceplate should go on the headstock.

if you could get away with it, I'd keep the stripe - it's most elegant...

what oils are you using on it?

It's an oil called Le Tonkinois, with Tung and linseed oils I think.
